Happy Gift Giving New Year

It's a new year and the perfect time to start some new traditions. How about starting the tradition of giving gifts? So you're saying, “But I already give gifts, I give gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, all the important occasions.” That's all wonderful but how about giving gifts when they would be least expected. Giving a gift to someone and seeing their face when they open it can be one of the most satisfying feelings you could have. Especially when the gift is not expected, a total surprise.

All through the year there are unique “holidays” that make perfect unexpected gift giving opportunities. They are usually thought of because someone wanted to recognize someone else on a day that would be special to them. You can find a unique holiday, or even a wacky day for many different interest like the tool man in your life, the golfer, someone who loves teddy bears or elephants, and believe it or not there is a day for those who are hair challenged.

Here's just a few of the extraordinary and unique holidays that are coming up...

January 6th is Cuddle Up Day. There are lots of things you can do for this day. Some people like to cuddle up with a good book, or cuddle up on the couch to watch an old movie, but there's nothing like cuddling up with someone you love.

January 29th is Puzzle Day. Do you know someone that loves doing puzzles? Well this is their day. Surprise them with the gift of a puzzle and see how amazed they are that you thought of them on this day.

February 20th is Love Your Pet Day. I know that most people love their pet every day, but why not take this day to do something a little extra for that wonderful friend of yours. An extra ten minutes of play time, a new sweater, or a new toy would be a way to show your love and appreciation for the unconditional love that they give you each and every day.

March 9th is Employee Appreciation Day. There's a Boss's Day, why not an employee day, too.

March 22nd is Goof Off Day. Everyone knows someone who would rather goof off than get down to business and take care of things. So this is their day, let them goof off all they want, but remind them that it only lasts a day.
