Double Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 teas. vanilla extract 2 cups flour 2/3 cup Cocoa 3/4 teas. baking soda 1/8 teas. salt 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Heat oven to 350F. In large mixer bowl beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffly. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until set. Cool slightly, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cook completely. About 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
